Designed for writers working across screen, television, comics, audio, games, gaming and theater, this course is built for those ready to move from passion to profession and turn creative ambition into a successful, sustainable career. Whether you’re breaking into the industry, expanding from one medium into others, or navigating U.S. and global markets as an international writer, this course gives you a clear, strategic roadmap forward. It’s for creators who want momentum, opportunity, and longevity—not burnout, guesswork, or empty validation. If you’re looking for reassurance, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for clarity, positioning, and real professional leverage, you’re exactly where you should be. FORMAT: Six weeks of live, weekly instruction one day per week Class length: 1.2-2 hours per class WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR Aspiring dramatic writers seeking a realistic path into the industry Dramatic writers working in one medium who want to expand into others International writers navigating U.S. and global markets Creators who want success with longevity—not burnout COURSE OUTCOMES By the end of Write for a Living, students will: Understand how dramatic writing careers are built across screen, television, comics, audio, games, and theater Develop a strategic roadmap for positioning themselves across multiple storytelling mediums Learn how to market and present themselves confidently in meetings, networking situations, and industry spaces Walk away with a polished, professional two-minute “tell me about yourself” pitch that every dramatic writer needs to have in their arsenal REQUIREMENTS Stable internet connection Google Docs, Word, Pages or any writing software A willingness to pitch, revise, and collaborate WRITING REQUIREMENT: LIGHT A deposit of $100 is required to reserve your spot in the course. The remaining $500 will be collected via payment link and must be completed prior to the start of class.
